BEFORE WE ARRIVE

Thank you for choosing BLG Land Management. A few minutes here makes your project safer, faster, and surprise-free. Quick reminders: gates unlocked, pets secured.

01 · UNDERGROUND UTILITIES

KNOW WHAT'S BELOW

Before work begins, the customer is responsible for having all underground utilities and private structures properly marked, including contacting 811 when applicable.

This includes septic tanks and drain fields, sewer, water, gas, and electrical lines, fiber and cable lines, irrigation systems, invisible pet fences, and any other buried utilities or structures.

BLG Land Management is not responsible for damage to underground utilities or structures that are unmarked, improperly marked, inaccurately marked, or unknown to BLG at the time of service.

We make every reasonable effort to avoid marked utilities; however, heavy equipment may need to work close to marked areas, and ground disturbance cannot be guaranteed against.

02 · JOB SITE PREPARATION

GETTING THE SITE READY

Clear the work area:

Remove vehicles, trailers, tools, hoses, toys, and personal items.

Remove or point out wire, metal, concrete, old fencing, and debris hidden in vegetation that could damage equipment.

Mark and protect:

Flag anything you want protected: young trees, flower beds, landscape features, sensitive areas.

Point out soft ground, recently seeded areas, or shallow utilities so we can avoid them.

Access and safety:

Unlock gates and clear access points for the equipment and trailer.

Keep pets indoors or away from the work area for the full duration of the job.

03 · APPROVED TRAVEL PATH

WHERE THE EQUIPMENT TRAVELS

Before work begins, we walk the property with you and agree on the path the equipment uses to enter, work, and exit.

Equipment stays on the approved path whenever practical. If conditions require a change, we discuss it with you first.

04 · GROUND CONDITIONS & SURFACE DISTURBANCE

WHAT HEAVY EQUIPMENT MEANS FOR YOUR GROUND

Heavy equipment is heavy, and it can leave temporary evidence of the work, especially on soft, wet, or well-maintained lawns.

Track marks, tire impressions, minor rutting, soil compaction, and grass disturbance are a normal part of heavy equipment operation and are not considered property damage.

We take every reasonable precaution to minimize surface impact.

Restoration of lawns, turf, landscaping, irrigation, or disturbed ground is not included unless specifically stated in your written estimate or service agreement.

Site conditions, hidden obstacles, weather, and soil can affect production time, access, and final cost.
